Associates meeting-February 2014

On the 15th of February 2014 another associates meeting was held under the umbrella of Affinity Consultancy. The topic of the meeting was "Rare genetic disease and its influence on developmental outcomes". The speech was presented by Dr. Cristina Skrypnyk, Consultant in Medical Genetics and Assistant Professor at the Al-Jawhara Centre in Bahrain. The participants, who are teachers and specialists working with children in various contexts, had a chance to familiarize themselves with the basics of the concept of rare genetic disease and how its presence might affect child development. The presentation was followed by questions and answers stimulated by this fascinating subject.
