Associates meeting - October 2013

Every couple of months a group of specialists from the psychological, medical and educational fields meet informally under the umbrella of Affinity Consultancy. These meetings serve to get in touch with other professionals working in Bahrain as well as to keep updated about the interventions available in Bahrain. On the 19th of October 2013 the group met to discuss the topic of autism. Aleksandra Jelonek-Turk presented the process of assessment in cases of suspected ASD. Then, Mr. John Holmes of Children's Academy talked about available interventions and their usefulness in children with autism.  The next meeting is expected to take place in January 2014.
